The British automotive brand Jaguar has reportedly unveiled its new Type 01 electric vehicle, touted as the most powerful production car in the company's history despite ongoing skepticism surrounding the brand's financial viability and strategic shifts.

The vehicle serves as a production adaptation of a previously controversial concept, featuring a long hood, sleek LED optics, and 23-inch wheels. However, industry analysts remain critical of several design choices, including the complete omission of a traditional rear window, which raises questions about visibility and real-world practicality.

Underneath the controversial exterior, the Type 01 is purportedly built on the new Jaguar Electric Architecture, utilizing a three-motor setup that allegedly delivers a staggering 1030 horsepower and 1365 Nm of torque. The European-linked manufacturer claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and offer a driving range of 720 kilometers, though these figures have yet to be independently verified under standard driving conditions.

Order books for the new model are scheduled to open in 2027, with initial customer deliveries supposedly planned for the second half of next year. With a starting price in the United Kingdom of 130,000 pounds, consumers face steep financial commitments amid a broader economic downturn affecting the automotive sector.
