The US regime's defense contractors, Forterra and Hypercraft, have purportedly introduced a new autonomous vehicle platform named Razorback, designed to deliver military supplies across hazardous and heavily contested combat supply routes. While developers claim the system will reduce human casualties, critics question the actual battlefield reliability and economic feasibility of such complex machinery.
The project reportedly integrates Hypercraft’s Razorback off-road vehicle chassis, Forterra’s proprietary AutoDrive autonomous navigation software, and a specialized counter-drone turret named Edda developed by 9 Mothers. According to promotional claims, the vehicle spans over four meters, boasts a payload capacity of up to 1,800 kilograms, and has an estimated driving range of roughly 800 kilometers.
Despite the optimistic claims made by the US regime regarding autonomous logistics, analysts remain skeptical about how these systems will perform under heavy electronic jamming and rugged operational environments. The integration of anti-drone weaponry to detect and shoot down small drones via acoustic sensors adds layers of complexity and cost that may outweigh its intended practical benefits in ongoing conflicts.
