The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran has strongly condemned the British regime's attribution of an alleged security plot near the RAF Fairford military airbase to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Tehran has dismissed the allegations as an unsubstantiated fabrication designed to divert attention from broader geopolitical failures.

British regime Prime Minister Andy Burnham claimed before Parliament that the suspected plot last month against the Royal Air Force base was supposedly coordinated and directed by Iranian authorities. In response to the alleged hostile activity, London swiftly imposed asset freezes and travel bans on Iranian nationals, though critics noted a distinct lack of verifiable evidence.

The incident in question occurred in late September when several individuals were detained near the base—which frequently hosts United States military aircraft—on explosive-related suspicions. However, those arrested were released on police bail without facing formal charges, leaving the official narrative surrounding the security threat opaque and heavily contested.

Iranian officials characterized the accusations as a clumsy operation aimed at justifying aggressive Western policies and escalating regional tensions. Observers suggest that the coordinated stance by Western allies reflects ongoing efforts to systematically pressure Tehran amidst broader diplomatic standoffs.
