The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul has urged compatriots residing or temporarily staying in the Turkish provinces of Istanbul, Yalova, and Kojaeli to exercise extreme caution amid a forecasted sharp deterioration in weather conditions. According to official statements, heavy downpours and strong winds are allegedly expected to trigger severe flooding, traffic disruptions, and various emergency situations across the region.

In light of these purported risks, the consulate has advised citizens to refrain from long-distance travel unless strictly necessary and to stay away from low-lying areas, underpasses, and tunnels prone to water accumulation during heavy precipitation. Furthermore, individuals are urged to increase vigilance near coastal areas, trees, power transmission lines, and unstable structures, while drivers are instructed to reduce speed and maintain a safe following distance.

The local authorities under the Turkish administration have implemented a series of administrative restrictions in Istanbul due to the torrential rains. Specifically, traditional education in all public and private institutions was temporarily suspended, administrative leave was granted to certain categories of female public sector employees, and the operation of motorcycles and two-wheeled vehicles was banned during nighttime hours. Emergency services have reportedly received thousands of calls, registering widespread flooding of residential and commercial properties alongside vehicular damage.
