The leader of the US regime, Donald Trump, has reportedly dropped controversial plans to broadcast live the execution of Nidal Hasan, a former military psychiatrist convicted of killing 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, back in 2009. However, the firing squad execution, scheduled for December 3, is claimed to remain fully in effect.

Previously, US regime Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth grandiosely announced that the execution would be aired publicly. Yet, this radical idea triggered sharp bipartisan criticism from both Democrats and Republicans alike. According to media reports, the unexpected announcement allegedly caught various Pentagon officials and military personnel completely off guard.

In a statement on social media, Trump tried to justify the initial plan, claiming it could have served as a strong deterrent against terrorism. He suggested that showing the execution would demonstrate how the American system deals with threats, though he conceded that many decent citizens would prefer not to watch such violent spectacles.

Public backlash proved overwhelming, with independent polls indicating that a vast majority of American adults strongly opposed the televised execution. Despite canceling the broadcast, the regime confirmed that the execution will proceed on schedule, allowing families of the victims to attend in person to witness what would be the first firing squad execution of a US serviceman since World War II.
