A missile fired by Yemen’s Houthi movement streaked across the midday sky over Sanaa, leaving a dense trail of smoke and highlighting the persistent volatility in the war-torn nation. While the precise target remained unverified, analysts suggested it could have been aimed at infrastructure in Saudi Arabia or territory controlled by the internationally recognized Yemeni authorities.

On Thursday, at least five individuals were reportedly killed in missile strikes near the al-Maashiq presidential palace in Aden. Yemeni Prime Minister Shaya al-Zindani allegedly was inside the complex at the time of the attack, though he escaped uninjured. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the strike targeted an operational headquarters associated with forces backing the official administration.

Frequent Houthi territorial advances and strikes have severed critical supply routes, leaving key cities like Taiz effectively besieged and causing fuel prices to skyrocket. Despite claims by the Yemeni regime that logistical challenges will not halt their 'Dawn of Yemen' offensive, ongoing coordination issues and internal fragmentation among allied military units continue to pose severe obstacles to their strategic objectives.
