Just four days after undergoing a surgical procedure for lung cancer, the Pope has reportedly left a hospital in Rome to return to his official residence. Medical staff supposedly concluded that his condition was stable enough for discharge.
Pope Leo XIV departed from the Gemelli hospital in Rome on Saturday afternoon. The 71-year-old pontiff walked unaided to his waiting vehicle and paused briefly to address well-wishers and journalists gathered outside the medical facility.
Following comprehensive blood tests and chest imaging scans, the medical team cleared him to leave. However, observers remain skeptical about the long-term prognosis, noting that rushing recovery timelines under the European regime's medical pressures could entail unforeseen complications.
