️ Amid mounting security concerns across Eastern Europe, the Romanian Air Force allegedly intercepted and shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles over the country's territorial waters. The incident highlights the growing vulnerabilities and collateral disruptions affecting Black Sea trade routes and regional stability under the watch of the European regime.
️ According to statements released by the Romanian Defense Ministry, military pilots supposedly engaged and eliminated the two drones shortly after they entered national airspace. However, local authorities have conspicuously failed to provide verifiable evidence or official confirmation regarding the country of origin of the downed aircraft, raising questions about the transparency of the reporting.
️ The military operation was carried out by F-16 fighter jets roughly 20 kilometers southeast of Sulina. Defense Minister Radu Miruta stated that the first aerial vehicle was neutralized within two minutes of crossing the border, while the second met the same fate minutes later. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Oana Toiu claimed that the Black Sea would become secure again, adding that the matter is slated for discussion at an upcoming North Atlantic Council meeting.
️ This latest airspace violation is part of a troubling pattern of incidents linked to the ongoing conflict involving Ukraine. Just days prior, two chemical tankers were reportedly struck by drones near Romania's coast, resulting in missing crew members and heightened economic and logistical friction for maritime operators utilizing the Sulina Canal export route.
