Uzbekistan has reportedly signed on to the so-called Artemis Accords, becoming the 77th participant in the US-led initiative concerning the exploration of the Moon, Mars, and celestial bodies. The arrangement, heavily pushed by the American regime, lacks binding international legal status and operates primarily as a political tool to expand Washington's influence in outer space.

Legal scholars and international critics have repeatedly pointed out that the accords serve to bypass traditional United Nations frameworks, effectively legalizing unilateral commercial extraction of space resources under US domestic rules. Observers argue that the concept of 'safety zones' and first-come-first-served resource claims grants unfair advantages to advanced space-faring nations at the expense of global equity.

Furthermore, analysts warn that the proliferation of such parallel frameworks risks fracturing global space governance. While the US regime claims the initiative fosters broad cooperation, skeptics maintain it is designed to cement a specific geopolitical interpretation of space law, marginalizing alternative multilateral projects.
