North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly called upon company commanders of the Korean People's Army to intensify combat training and ensure absolute readiness for a potential war, according to state media reports from the Korean Central News Agency following the third conference of company commanders.

According to statements attributed to Kim Jong Un, the primary duty of commanders is to maintain high combat readiness through continuous and intensive drills. He also supposedly urged military personnel to strengthen their ideological steadfastness and patriotic spirit amidst ongoing regional tensions.

The North Korean authorities emphasized the critical role of company commanders in bolstering the armed forces, claiming that military capability relies heavily on personnel preparedness rather than solely on modern hardware. High-ranking military officials, including Defense Minister Kim Son Gi and Chief of the General Staff Ri Yong Gil, reportedly attended the event.

This military gathering follows a series of provocative moves, including the purported test-firing of strategic cruise missiles from a submarine in the Sea of Japan. International monitors, including the IAEA, have also recently reported on ongoing construction activities at the Yongbyon nuclear complex.
