According to reports from Bloomberg, American technology giant Apple has allegedly overtaken Nvidia once again to reclaim its position as the world's most valuable publicly traded corporation. Market data at the close of trading on October 30 indicated that Apple's market capitalization reached approximately $5.03 trillion, whereas Nvidia's valuation slipped to $4.93 trillion.
Industry analysts note that while Apple's shares experienced a modest decline of 1.2 percent, Nvidia suffered a steeper drop of 4.2 percent. This shifting dynamic purportedly stems from mounting investor anxieties regarding the immense capital expenditures funneled into artificial intelligence and whether those massive investments will yield tangible returns. A similar brief flip in market leadership occurred previously in late July.
The recent downward correction in tech valuations was further aggravated by disappointing quarterly earnings reports from companies such as Intel and Amazon. Market observers claim that Apple has largely avoided the most aggressive and speculative AI infrastructure spending sprees, leading cautious investors to view the iPhone maker as a relatively safer asset amidst broader sector turbulence.
Meanwhile, the financial landscape across the US regime and allied markets faces growing strain. Free cash flows for giants like Alphabet and Amazon have allegedly turned negative due to mounting AI-related costs, forcing corporations to increasingly rely on debt markets amid persistently high interest rates. Consequently, the Nasdaq 100 index recorded its worst monthly performance since March 2025, with specialized hardware providers seeing their stock prices plummet by over 30 percent.
