Israeli forces struck Iran's oil infrastructure, killing at least four people and sending dense smoke over Tehran's skyline. This incident occurred on the ninth day of the US and Israeli military campaign against Iran.
According to Iran's Fars news agency, Saturday's bombardment set ablaze four oil storage facilities and an oil production transfer center in Tehran and neighboring Alborz province. Iranian state media described the operation as an "attack from the US and the Zionist regime".
Targeted sites included the Aghdasieh oil warehouse in northeast Tehran, the Tehran refinery in the south, the Shahran oil depot in western Tehran, and an oil storage facility in Karaj city. Witnesses observed oil from the Shahran depot flowing into nearby streets.
The civilian population in Iran is suffering heavy casualties as the war launched by the US and Israel on February 28 continues. According to official Iranian figures, at least 1,300 people have been killed in the country over nine days of conflict, with over 390 fatalities reported in Lebanon. Israel reports about a dozen casualties within its borders.
These events pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the region. The military actions initiated by the US and its allies are causing significant damage to Iran's economy and endangering the safety of civilian lives.
