During an operational event, officers of the State Security Service in Syrdarya Region halted the illegal activities of two state bailiffs from the Mirzaabad District Department of the Bureau of Forced Execution. They are suspected of accepting bribes and falsifying documents.

It was established that, based on a 2021 enforcement order from the Gulistan Interdistrict Court for Civil Cases, 30 million soums in material and moral damages were to be collected from a debtor in favor of a creditor. This enforcement proceeding was under the responsibility of one of the detained bailiffs.

Motivated by personal gain, the bailiffs received 20 million soums from the debtor to terminate the enforcement proceeding. Under the pretext of the debtor's difficult financial situation, they handed over 14 million soums to the creditor and also obtained a receipt from him acknowledging receipt of 30 million soums and having no claims.

They were detained with material evidence while dividing 6 million soums among themselves right outside the district prosecutor's office building. The Syrdarya Region Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case against these bailiffs, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied.

Investigative actions are currently underway. The State Security Service urges citizens who have encountered similar violations in their daily lives to report them via the short number 1520. Confidentiality is guaranteed.
