President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon toured a modern textile production facility in the Bukhara Region and discussed prospects for expanding industrial cooperation between the two countries. The heads of state visited the Nigora textile factory, part of the Merganteks cotton-textile cluster. The $35 million enterprise provides a full production cycle, from cotton processing to the output of finished fabrics and clothing.

Products under the Shoyigul brand are exported to European countries, including Italy, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Germany. The factory has created 840 jobs and is equipped with modern machinery from China, Germany, and Belgium, meeting international standards. A second phase is planned to launch a production line for synthetic fibers and related products.

The presidents inspected a showroom and reviewed finished goods. The Tajik delegation praised the quality of the products, with annual exports reaching $10 million. Following the visit, the leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between industrial enterprises of the two nations, aimed at fostering economic growth and regional stability.
