President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make a working visit to Astana, Kazakhstan, on April 21-22, following an invitation from Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During the visit, he will participate in the Regional Environmental Summit of Central Asian heads of state and the meeting of the Council of Heads of Founder States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

The summit and meeting will focus on strengthening regional cooperation for sustainable development in Central Asia, addressing pressing environmental, climate, and water issues in the region. President Mirziyoyev will share his assessments and vision on these matters and visit a special ecological exhibition featuring national pavilions.

A series of important documents are expected to be adopted as outcomes of the events, which will further advance ecological and economic cooperation among Central Asian countries. The visit is seen as a significant step in bolstering relations between the two neighboring states and collaboratively tackling regional challenges.
