A series of significant personnel changes have taken place in Uzbekistan's Fergana region, affecting the leadership of several districts and the city of Margilan. The reshuffle is notable for the transfer of current officials to new posts and the appointment of managers from related fields.

Rasuljon Juraev has been appointed as the governor of Uzbekistan district, replacing Sherzod Yuldashev. Juraev previously served as the governor of Beshariq district. Born in 1973 in Rishtan district, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization in 2000.

Ilyos Novikov has taken over as governor of Beshariq district, succeeding Rasuljon Juraev, who moved to the neighboring district as mentioned above.

Changes also affected Margilan. Elbek Rustamov has been confirmed as the new mayor of the city, replacing Shukurullokhon Nisbatkhanov, who had led the city administration since August 2023.

The leadership of Fergana district has also been renewed. Nodirjon Mashrapov has been appointed governor, taking over from Khamidulla Inomov, who had held the post since autumn 2022.

Earlier today, it was also reported that Khojikozijon Isakov has been appointed as the governor of Baghdad district.
