Uzbekistan and Armenia intend to develop new projects in industrial cooperation, expand trade, economic and investment cooperation, and strengthen transport connectivity between Central Asia and the South Caucasus. These issues were discussed on September 11 during a phone call between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

During the conversation, the parties reviewed current issues of further development of bilateral relations. Special attention was paid to working out new joint industrial projects.

The importance of developing logistics and transport corridors linking the regions of Central Asia and the South Caucasus was separately noted. Mirziyoyev also highly appreciated efforts to expedite the conclusion of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to him, the document should become a solid foundation for regional stability and sustainable development.

In addition, the parties discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events, including within the UN and CIS frameworks.
