A 22-year-old Uzbek citizen has died in Turkey after falling from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Izmir. Uzbek authorities are now organizing the repatriation of her body to Uzbekistan. The transfer is scheduled for March 23 on a flight from Istanbul to Andijan. The consulate is providing necessary assistance to facilitate this process.

The young woman was living in Turkey with her husband, a Turkish citizen, in a religious marriage that was not officially registered. Both individuals had hearing and speech impairments. Turkish law enforcement agencies have launched a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall.
