A court in Tashkent has sentenced a 46-year-old man from Bukhara Region for sexually harassing two underage girls and resisting law enforcement officers. The incident occurred on the morning of February 24 in a city park, where the accused, under the influence of alcohol, pursued the girls and shouted sexually explicit insults at them.

The victims called the police at number 102. The arrest process was also problematic: after being taken to the station, the individual refused to comply with lawful police demands, used profanity against authorities, and attempted to escape from the service premises.

The court classified the defendant's actions under two articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility: Article 41-1 (“Sexual Harassment”) and Part 1 of Article 194 (“Failure to Comply with Lawful Demands of Internal Affairs Officers”). As a result, he was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest, a fine of 5 basic calculation units (1.8 million soums), and charged 309,000 soums for detention in a special holding facility. The sentence is to be served starting from March 24.
