Police in Tashkent have uncovered a major theft of $50,000 in the Yunusabad district. Three members of a criminal group were arrested on suspicion of stealing the money. To gain access to the office, they utilized a delivery service uniform as a disguise.

According to law enforcement authorities, the crime was organized by a 38-year-old man. His 26-year-old accomplice played a key role: dressed in courier attire, he entered the office basement, where a safe was located, without any hindrance.

The success of the operation was facilitated by an insider tip – assistance to the group was provided by a driver from the enterprise. He supplied the accomplices with branded equipment and a courier bag, receiving $4,000 for his services.

The identities of all involved were established during investigative operations. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the detainees under Article 169 of the Criminal Code (“Theft”), and the investigation is checking their involvement in similar incidents.
