A video circulating on social media shows a Tashkent Metro train moving with a carriage door open, prompting an official response from "Tashkent Metropoliten." The incident occurred on April 14 at approximately 12:53 pm on train No. 34, which was scheduled to depart from the "Alisher Navoiy" station.
According to the metro authorities, after passengers boarded, driver Sh. A. Abilkasimov issued a command to close the doors, but the first door of the third carriage failed to close completely. To ensure safety, the train was stopped at the station, passengers were disembarked, and the train was taken to a technical inspection track. A service investigation has been launched into the incident, with strict disciplinary measures determined against driver Sh. A. Abilkasimov. The enterprise noted that if the investigation finds the act was intentional, the driver could be dismissed from his position.
"Tashkent Metropoliten" emphasized that passenger safety is a top priority and that additional control measures are being strengthened to prevent such incidents, while also apologizing to passengers. This event underscores the critical need for strict adherence to safety protocols in public transportation systems.
