A shocking incident has occurred in the Bukhara District of Bukhara Region, drawing public attention. An 18-year-old woman was detained while attempting to sell her three-day-old infant for $4,000 USD. An operation conducted by police officers at the scene led to her arrest as she was receiving a partial payment of $800 from a conditional buyer during a meeting arranged for the transaction.

This action has resulted in the initiation of a criminal case under paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Buying or selling a person known to be under eighteen years of age"). Investigative actions are currently underway to thoroughly examine the circumstances and motives behind the crime.
