A Tashkent court has delivered a verdict in the high-profile Credit House fraud case, sentencing nine individuals for defrauding hundreds of citizens. The Yakkasaray District Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Bakhodir Kayumov, found the defendants guilty of fraud, property damage, trade violations, and abuse of authority in a non-governmental organization.
Dmitry Bazhenov, identified as the scheme's organizer, received the maximum sentence of 9 years in prison. Bakhtiyor Amzaev also got 9 years. Bahrom Khikmatullaev, Gayrat Mirkamolov, and Shukhrat Makhamadov were sentenced to 8 years and 1 month each. Three women – Klara Tolipova, Robiya Galyamova, and Shoira Rakhimova – received suspended sentences of 6.5 years with a 3-year probation period. Alisher Shamsiddinov was fined 234.5 times the base calculation value.
The total damage to victims exceeds 180 billion soums (approximately $14.4 million). To compensate, the court ordered the seizure of two Toyota vehicles worth 681 million soums, a Spark car worth 93 million soums, and a Cobalt car worth 126 million soums. Additionally, funds in the company's bank accounts will be distributed among the victims.
The scandal erupted in February 2025 when Credit House and In Fin Stroy Invest were accused of promising affordable housing with long-term installments but allegedly embezzling clients' money. Over 860 people were recognized as victims. The case was investigated by the Interior Ministry's Investigation Department.
