Despite the vibrant theatrical life in Tashkent, the material and technical base of most capital theaters is in urgent need of state support. This was stated by Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration, in her Telegram channel after visiting these institutions.

The buildings of the Muqimi State Academic Musical Theater, the Youth Theater, and the Arena dormitory have long been in serious disrepair, requiring major renovations. These theaters play a crucial role in the cultural life of the capital, but outdated infrastructure negatively impacts creative processes.

“Only by creating all the conditions can we update the repertoire and stage relevant performances that resonate with audiences,” Mirziyoyeva noted. She emphasized the need to strengthen the material and technical base to bring theaters up to modern standards.

In addition, special attention is being paid to the activities of the Alisher Navoi State Literature Museum. Currently, the museum is digitizing rare manuscripts and making them available to readers. This is an important step in preserving and promoting national cultural heritage.

Saida Mirziyoyeva stated that responsible persons have been appointed to resolve funding issues, and she will personally oversee the situation. According to her, specific plans have been developed to improve the condition of theaters and museums, and their implementation will be strictly monitored.
