Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva has taken personal control of the funding situation for Tashkent's theaters. She noted that the material and technical base of these institutions requires serious state support.

In her Telegram channel, Mirziyoyeva reported visiting three theaters. She pointed out that the buildings of the Mukimi Academic Theater, the Youth Theater, and the Puppet Theater, as well as the Arena dormitory, have long needed reconstruction. Special attention was also given to the Alisher Navoi State Museum of Literature, where unique manuscripts are being digitized.

“Tashkent's theatrical life has always been bright and rich. Meanwhile, the material and technical base of the capital's theaters needs serious state support. We need to create all conditions for updating repertoires and staging relevant productions that would delight audiences,” Mirziyoyeva wrote.

Responsible persons have already been appointed to address funding issues.

Earlier, the head of the Presidential Administration visited Samarkand region on a working trip, inspecting the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects. One of the key goals of the trip was to assess the development of the Yangi Uzbekistan massif and check the condition of social facilities requiring immediate intervention.
