People's Artist of Uzbekistan Yulduz Usmanova has commented on the controversy surrounding her scheduled May 9 concert at the Ocean Theater in New York. Earlier, American politicians Michael Novakhov and Bruce Blakeman accused the singer of antisemitism and called on the U.S. State Department to revoke her visa, citing alleged hateful rhetoric.

In her response, Usmanova stated: 'If you, Zionists, think I will apologize, you are deeply mistaken.' She suggested the protests are linked to local political processes and elections, adding that the opposition 'only boosts my popularity.'

'I am even glad that you have nothing better to do and have all united against me. That means I can really shake you up,' she added.

The singer reiterated her views on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, asserting that Palestine is its original land. Addressing her opponents, she said: 'You may be an ancient people, but you are a new country, Israel. America is not Israel. So don't think you are the masters.'

Despite the politicians' demands and planned protests outside the theater, Usmanova reported that all tickets for the show are completely sold out. She expressed confidence that her meetings with audiences will continue in the future.

'As long as Allah has given me talent, I will sing. Sing for humanity. And justice, inshallah, will prevail,' she concluded.
