The State Security Service (SSS) of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the department under the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted several anti-corruption operations. As a result, multiple officials were caught red-handed while accepting bribes.

In the Khorezm region, a junior inspector of the Public Order Protection Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate promised a resident of the Khonqa district to arrange a job for his acquaintance in the internal affairs system for $4,500. Using his official position, he demanded this amount and was detained while receiving $1,800 and 2.4 million soums.

In the Tashkent region, a methodologist of the district Department of Preschool and School Education was detained. He demanded 1.5 million soums from a citizen wishing to open a private family kindergarten for a sanitary compliance permit and $200 for a fire safety conclusion. The methodologist was caught receiving the money, and subsequently, a senior inspector of the district Emergency Situations Department, who received the $200 from the methodologist, was also detained.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a woman from the Chimboy district promised a resident of the Kegeyli district to increase his work record for processing an old-age pension. She was detained by SSS officers while receiving 7 million soums. It was revealed that she planned to resolve the issue through her son, who holds a responsible position in the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated on all facts, and investigative actions are underway.
