Law enforcement authorities have released official details of a tragic road accident in the Nurota district of Navoiy region, which had previously been reported on social media. The incident involved a Matiz car that overturned while transporting children from a family-run kindergarten.

The accident occurred on May 5 at around 09:05 in the Yangihayot mahalla. According to updated information, the car was carrying even more children than initially reported: 14 minors instead of 13. All of them sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.

The driver was a 34-year-old woman, the head of the family kindergarten. It was established that she did not have a driver's license or relevant driving experience. While driving, she became distracted and lost control, causing the car to overturn. Despite medical assistance, the woman died in the hospital.

The investigation emphasizes that transporting such a number of children in a passenger car is a gross violation of safety rules. Additionally, authorities pointed out the lack of proper supervision by parents who allowed such transportation. Pre-investigation measures are currently underway to provide a legal assessment of the incident.
