According to the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a series of important reforms are being implemented in 2024 to develop the country's tourism sector.

Specifically, the visa-free regime has been expanded, allowing citizens of over 60 countries to visit Uzbekistan without a visa. This measure is expected to significantly increase tourist arrivals.

In addition, new flights have been launched in cooperation with local and international airlines. The number of direct flights to historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva has been increased.

Large investments are being made to improve tourism infrastructure, including hotels, roads, and services. More than 100 new hotels are planned to be built by 2025.

The head of the Tourism Committee stated that in 2023, about 7 million foreign tourists visited the country, and the target for 2024 is to reach 10 million tourists.
