According to the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, the country welcomed 7.2 million foreign tourists in 2024, a 15% increase compared to the previous year.

The majority of tourists came from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, and China. Tourism service exports reached $2.5 billion.

Committee Chairman Umid Shodiyev highlighted significant growth in domestic tourism, with over 12 million local travelers.

The government allocated $500 million for tourism infrastructure development, including new hotels, roads, and airports.

However, experts note persistent issues with service quality and price stability despite the overall growth in the sector.
