Due to rising temperatures in Uzbekistan, the summer base norm for natural gas consumption – 100 cubic meters per month – comes into effect from March 16. This norm will remain in force until November 1, with exceptions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Region, where it applies until October 1, aligning with seasonal energy demand shifts.
Calculations for March are more complex: the monthly base norm of 500 cubic meters, valid during the heating season, is proportionally allocated as 250 cubic meters for the first half (March 1-15). For the second half (March 16-31), the new 100 cubic meter norm results in 50 cubic meters being billed at a preferential rate of 1,000 soums, compared to the standard tariff of 1,800 soums.
In line with presidential decisions, needy families receive monthly compensation for electricity and natural gas usage. Previously, gas compensations were provided only in winter, but they are now paid year-round, expanding the social support system for vulnerable households.
For any inquiries related to gas consumption calculations, explanations are provided by JSC "Hududgazta'minot" and its regional branches. Consumers are encouraged to contact these entities for clarification on their bills and consumption norms.
