According to Tashkent City Prosecutor Anvar Urmonov, 254 newborn deaths and 7 maternal deaths were registered in the capital in 2025. As a result of prosecutor's inspections, 57 medical workers have been held disciplinarily accountable in connection with these incidents.

Urmonov emphasized that each fatal case in medical institutions was thoroughly examined by specialized councils, and pre-investigation checks were conducted for all incidents to assess staff actions. These measures aim to improve the quality of medical services and ensure transparency in the healthcare system.

The prosecutor's office activities extended beyond healthcare to include the protection of vulnerable citizens' rights. In 2025, 91 graduates of "Mehribonlik" homes—orphans and individuals without parental care—received housing. Additionally, with the assistance of the prosecutor's office, nearly 23,000 unemployed citizens were employed, and over 8,000 people were directed to training for new professions.
