In the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, new projects for expanding the metro system have been announced. According to information presented by the city administration, the construction of two new metro lines is planned over the next five years, which is expected to significantly improve the city's transport infrastructure.

In the first phase of the project, construction will begin on a new line connecting the 'Chilonzor' and 'Yunusobod' districts, facilitating transport links between the northern and southern parts of the city. A second line will link central districts with the industrial zone, creating conveniences for workers and tourists. Government representatives emphasized that these projects are aimed at reducing transport issues in the city.

Local and foreign investors are being attracted for the construction work, but funding and technical aspects are still under discussion. Experts note that the project's success depends on adherence to infrastructure and safety standards. City residents hope the new metro lines will help solve transport problems but express concerns about potential difficulties during construction.
