President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan issued directives for large-scale preparations for the upcoming Ramadan and Navruz holidays during a meeting in Samarkand region. The head of state tasked regional leadership with strengthening social support for vulnerable population groups, carrying out improvement works in all districts, and ensuring markets are supplied with affordable food products.

The main objective has been defined as creating all conditions for residents to celebrate the sacred days in high spirits, in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. To achieve this goal, district administrations have been instructed to intensify cleaning and greening of streets, squares, and other public spaces.

Special attention will be paid to targeted monitoring of the well-being of low-income families, elderly people, and citizens requiring special care. To make holiday feasts accessible to everyone, fairs with food products at reduced prices will be organized in markets and large shopping centers across the region.

During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated Samarkand residents on the upcoming holidays, wishing everyone robust health and inexhaustible strength. These initiatives are viewed as part of broader policies aimed at developing the culture of celebrating traditional events and improving citizens' quality of life in the country.
