Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan has significantly increased its exports of fruit and vegetable products, securing a substantial inflow of foreign currency revenue for the country. In January 2026, the republic supplied 106.8 thousand tons of vegetables and fruits abroad, generating income of $99.4 million.

According to the National Committee on Statistics, this figure grew by 21.6% compared to the same period last year. The increase reflects an expansion in external supplies and sustained demand for Uzbek products in foreign markets.

In the export structure, vegetables (36.7 thousand tons) and fruits and berries (31.3 thousand tons) accounted for the largest shares. Legumes, nuts, and other types of agricultural products also made significant contributions to the total volume. Overall, the fruit and vegetable sector provided 5.9% of the republic's total exports.

These results highlight the effectiveness of Uzbekistan's agricultural reforms and export diversification policies. However, challenges such as market access and logistics issues persist, which could impact future growth.
