The cotton harvest season in Uzbekistan has concluded, with official data indicating that 3.5 million tons of cotton were collected nationwide. Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture acknowledged difficulties such as shortages of machinery and labor during the harvest, as well as unfavorable weather conditions in some regions. According to ministry reports, over 200,000 workers participated in the harvesting process, but this number has declined compared to previous years, reflecting labor-related challenges.

The harvest results are significant for the economy, as cotton is one of Uzbekistan's key export products. However, experts emphasize the need for modernization and technological upgrades in the industry, since traditional methods are still widely used, potentially reducing efficiency.
