The leadership of the Tashkent Metro has commented on reports of a forced train stop at the "Khalqlar Dustligi" station. According to official information, the cause of the incident was a short-term technical malfunction of the train.
As reported by metro officials, the incident occurred on March 28 at 11:49. In train No. 15, manufactured in 1984, a technical failure was recorded upon entering the station.
The driver acted in accordance with instructions: promptly notified the dispatcher and organized the disembarkation of passengers on the platform. After this, the faulty train was removed from the line and sent for technical inspection.
Currently, the situation is under the control of metro specialists. This incident raises questions about the need for rolling stock renewal in the Tashkent Metro, as the malfunctioning train, nearly 40 years old, highlights potential issues with the technical state of the transportation system.
