Due to volatility in cotton prices on international markets and increasing competition, there are warnings about the instability of the cotton sector's contribution to Uzbekistan's economic growth. Experts emphasize the need for the country to diversify its economy, calling for the development of additional industrial sectors to reduce reliance on cotton.
