A meeting was held at the Internal Affairs Directorate of Syrdarya Region under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Diyorbek Sattarov. During the meeting, the irresponsibility of some officials in performing their duties was subjected to severe criticism.

In particular, an incident involving a senior officer of the Syrdarya Internal Affairs Directorate and his close relative was discussed. The situation involved a drunk driver assaulting a police officer, after which his brother, a colonel, intervened. This was assessed as an abuse of official authority and the use of official position for personal purposes.

It is reported that Lieutenant Colonel Sherzod Pardayev, who committed the offense, has been dismissed from his post by a corresponding order from the ministry. Following the meeting, instructions were given to senior staff to promptly address identified shortcomings, strengthen service discipline, and ensure legality.

The incident occurred on the night of March 30 in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent. After a collision between a Malibu and a Leapmotor car, a conflict arose between the drivers. The Leapmotor driver called the emergency number 102 and reported that the driver of a Malibu without license plates had caused an accident and was behaving aggressively.

Traffic police officers who arrived at the scene began documenting the incident. The Malibu driver, who was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, was asked to undergo a breathalyzer test. The driver resisted and struck one of the officers. In a video circulated on social media, the driver is seen elbowing the officer, while a man identified as his brother attempts to intervene.

The driver apologized, claiming he raised his hand due to alcohol. He is currently detained under procedural measures. A criminal case has been initiated based on this fact. Regarding 36-year-old Bobur Pardayev, the Yashnabad District Court has imposed a pre-trial detention measure. On April 3, this decision was reviewed on appeal by the Tashkent City Court and left unchanged.
