Warner Bros., founded on April 4, 1923, in the United States by the Warner brothers, has grown into a leading global company in film and media production and distribution. Over its long history, the company has undergone several significant mergers and name changes: in 1967, it merged with Seven Arts Productions to become Warner Bros.-Seven Arts, was acquired by Kinney National Company in 1969 and reverted to Warner Bros., and operated as Warner Communications in 1972.

In 1990, a merger with Time Inc. resulted in Time Warner, while a 2001 combination with AOL led to operations under the name AOL Time Warner. The Time Warner name was reinstated in 2003, and after an acquisition by AT&T in 2018, the company was renamed WarnerMedia. Finally, in 2022, a merger with Discovery, Inc. formed Warner Bros. Discovery, solidifying its position in the global media landscape.

Throughout the years, Warner Bros. expanded through major acquisitions and integrations, enriching its film library. Key additions include DC Comics in 1969, Lorimar-Telepictures in 1989, Turner Broadcasting System in 1996, and New Line Cinema in 2008, which bolstered its content base and enhanced its influence in the media industry.

Marking the company's centennial, Gazeta has prepared a test based on films created with Warner Bros. involvement (including those it distributed), aimed at celebrating its cultural legacy and highlighting its contributions to the film industry.
