Employees of the Main Directorate for Emergency Situations in Tashkent conducted a raid to inspect fire safety at three major markets in the capital. The inspection revealed serious violations of norms and regulations, posing a threat to public safety and property.

The inspection covered the "Aviasozlar" farmers' market in Yashnabad District, a farmers' market in Shaykhantakhur District, and a clothing market in Chilanzar District. Significant deficiencies were found in certain parts of these markets, breaching fire safety rules, leading to a temporary suspension of their operations. According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, the affected blocks will only resume work after all identified violations are fully rectified.

This incident echoes recent events in Namangan Region, where the operations of three facilities, including the "Chorsu" shopping center, a farmers' market, and a shoe production workshop, were also temporarily suspended due to severe fire safety rule violations. Such a situation highlights the need for strengthened fire safety controls nationwide, as these violations appear to be widespread, endangering public health and the economy.
