Construction work has been completed on a 23.8-kilometer single-track electrified railway section connecting the urban settlement of Baytqo‘rg‘on in the Qibray district with the Parkent district in Uzbekistan's Tashkent Region. The Ministry of Transport's press service officially announced this development. The construction began in January 2025, with design work carried out by "Boshtransloyiha" JSC and construction executed by railway specialists.

Upon commissioning, the new railway line is expected to transform the Parkent district into a major tourist destination. It will provide additional convenience for travel from Parkent to Tashkent and significantly expand opportunities for trips to the district's scenic areas. According to estimates, up to 275,000 passengers per day can be transported along this route.

In June 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with this railway project during a visit to the Parkent district. At a meeting on April 8, he emphasized that the Tashkent Region should serve as a model for other regions, with employment levels, incomes, and quality of life equal to those in Tashkent. It was also announced that a number of projects in various sectors would be implemented.

Following the examples of the "Amirsoy" resort complex and the "Bildirsoy resort" recreation area, projects can be implemented in the mountainous areas of Parkent, G‘azalkent, Ohangaron, and Angren. This new railway line serves precisely this purpose—enhancing the region's economic and tourism potential and improving transport options for the population.
