The deputy head of the Emergency Situations Department in Mirzachul District, during an inspection of a catering establishment in the district center, drew up an administrative protocol for violations of fire safety requirements.
Subsequently, he demanded 3 million soms from the establishment's manager in exchange for "closing the case" and not sending the materials to court. This demand was reported to state security agencies after a complaint from the cafe owner.
During an operational event conducted by officers of the State Security Service and the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, the emergency service employee was detained while receiving the money from the catering point's manager. The process was documented with clear evidence of bribery.
A criminal case has been initiated based on this incident, and investigative actions are currently underway. Authorities are urging citizens to report similar cases via the short number 1520, with confidentiality guaranteed.
This incident highlights ongoing challenges in combating corruption among public officials and underscores the need for greater transparency in society.
