Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev began his trip to the Fergana region by visiting the new 'Yangi Uzbekistan' residential complex in Kokand, where the first phase of construction is being implemented.

The project is part of a large-scale program to improve housing conditions and develop modern urban infrastructure in the regions. The new complex is being formed as a full-fledged residential area with a comfortable environment for living, working, and recreation.

A total of 1.85 trillion soums has been allocated for construction. Plans include 84 multi-story buildings, as well as schools, kindergartens, a university, a business center, retail facilities, and park areas. The complex is designed to accommodate 25,000 residents.

To date, the first phase has been completed: 56 ten-story buildings with 4,394 apartments have been handed over. Housing is provided with finished repairs, a 35% down payment, and a 16% annual interest rate for a 20-year mortgage.

The president inspected one of the new apartments, emphasizing that the project should not only improve people's living conditions but also contribute to shaping a modern mindset and culture of life.

During the visit, he also spoke with local residents. Representatives of the older generation noted that infrastructure, education, and entrepreneurship are actively developing in the region, significantly improving the quality of life.

Additionally, the head of state was presented with plans for the second phase of the 'Yangi Uzbekistan' complex and further development of Kokand.

Previously, the administration of the Kashkadarya region and Yakkabag district began eliminating defects in the 'Yangi Uzbekistan' residential complex, where facades began to deteriorate less than a year after delivery.
