A new agribusiness model is being introduced in the Fergana region, transforming household plots into full-fledged businesses generating hundreds of millions of soums. Local residents are being trained in modern agricultural technologies, enabling them to earn up to 250 million soums from 10 acres of land.

During his visit to the region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the Quva Agrostar enterprise, which operates on a full production cycle — from cultivation to export.

To increase added value in agriculture, specialized agricultural complexes have been established under the management of Uzagrostar holding in 21 districts of the region, integrating processes from cultivation to storage, processing, packaging, and export.

The Quva Agrostar complex in the Kuva district produces up to 5,000 tons of agricultural products annually, using technologies from Italy, Spain, Germany, and China, as well as international standards such as Global GAP, ISO 22000, Halal, and HACCP. In 2025, the enterprise exported its products by air for the first time to demanding markets such as Japan and South Korea. This year, exports are planned to reach $25 million.

The project involves three thousand households and a thousand farmers, who are taught efficient land use, seed selection, agricultural techniques, and product preparation for export.

The president emphasized the importance of deep processing and orientation toward external markets, stressing that household plots should become a significant source of income for families. An experimental agricultural system based on advanced technologies will be introduced on 50,000 hectares in the Fergana region.

Earlier, during his visit to the Fergana region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Crown Ceramic joint venture in Quvasoy. The head of state studied the technological cycle of producing porcelain stoneware tiles, which are designed to compete with leading global brands in terms of their characteristics.
