Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš is set to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on April 29–30. High-level negotiations are planned in Tashkent, where the sides will discuss prospects for further development of multifaceted Uzbek-Czech cooperation, reports Podrobno.uz correspondent.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the focus will be on boosting mutual trade, deepening cooperation in mechanical engineering, green energy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as transport.

The sides will also address cultural, humanitarian and educational collaboration, and exchange views on the international agenda, including mutual support at multilateral platforms. A package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed following the meeting.

During the visit, the Czech Prime Minister will also participate in the Uzbek-Czech business forum. He will be accompanied by Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček and a representative group of Czech entrepreneurs. The main goal of the visit is to strengthen economic ties and expand the presence of Czech business in the region.
