The season for sending Uzbek pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj will run from May 2 to May 18, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan announced.
To facilitate pilgrims, direct flights to Medina will operate from nine cities across the republic: Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Termez, and Urgench.
Transportation to Medina will be handled by Saudi airline FlyAdeal, while return flights will be operated by Uzbekistan Airways.
According to the board, organizational work is currently underway. Each pilgrim has been provided with a special kit containing a guidebook titled "Hajj — A Great Worship," a bag, a vest, a thermos, an umbrella, a local SIM card, and a power bank.
A working group currently in Saudi Arabia is preparing conditions for Uzbek pilgrims in the Mina and Arafat valleys, as well as in hotels, the statement said.
