The Tax Committee held an open meeting to discuss the taxation of bloggers, noting that the process is currently at the study stage.

According to the Tax Committee, a list of 110 most active bloggers was compiled as part of a systematic study of the sector. Analysis showed that 55 of them are registered as self-employed, 33 as individual entrepreneurs, and the remaining 22 operate as individuals.

"This indicates a certain discrepancy between the real scale of blogging activity and its legal status," the statement said.

Special attention was paid to six top bloggers with over 3 million subscribers. It was found that in 2025 they posted 360 stories and 184 advertising posts. According to electronic invoices, the total income of these bloggers amounted to 2.7 billion soums, and 110.4 million soums in taxes were paid to the budget.

During the meeting, participants were explained in detail the procedure for taxing income from advertising. In particular, it was noted that self-employed status does not allow hiring employees, while some bloggers actually engage administrators and other specialists.

As representatives of the Tax Committee noted, bringing blogging activities in line with legal requirements and ensuring income transparency remains a pressing task today.
