The supply of electric vehicles is increasing in Uzbekistan's auto market. Over the past six months, prices for Lacetti and Cobalt have either remained unchanged or decreased, while Malibu and Tracker prices show instability.
Experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRI) analyzed price changes in the secondary car market.
Over the year, the share of electric vehicles in total supply rose from 5.4% in June 2024 to 10% in April 2026. The share of local cars decreased from 53.7% to 47%.
In April, the number of listings fell by 18.6% compared to March but was 59.6% higher than in April last year.
Prices for popular local cars remain stable. The median price for a low-mileage Cobalt is around $12,900, while Onix rose to $14,800. However, some models like Damas, Labo, and Nexia became cheaper.
In the foreign car segment, dynamics are mixed. Some low-mileage Chery and Kia models became cheaper, while used luxury models like Carnival and Sorento increased in price.
Electric car prices: BYD Seagull — $15,500–16,000, BYD Yuan Up — $20,000–21,500, BYD Chazor — $20,500–22,000.
