In Samarkand region, officers of the State Security Service (SSS) detained officials working in the tax system and local khokimiyat while they were illegally receiving money. Criminal cases have been initiated.

In Bulungur district, an accountant of the state institution 'Accounting Center' promised the head of a farm to reduce a tax debt of 150 million soums. For this, he first received 3 million soums. Later, the accountant demanded an additional 15 million soums. While receiving this money together with the deputy head of the Bulungur district tax inspectorate, they were detained by SSS and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

The second incident was recorded in Kattakurgan district. A citizen who worked as deputy khokim of the district in 2025 promised employment in a medical association for 14 million soums but did not fulfill the promise. During an operational measure, the former deputy khokim was detained while returning part of the received money in the amount of 1000 US dollars.

Criminal cases have been initiated on both facts, and investigative actions are underway.
